A real-life soap opera on Cardross Street in the heart of Brackenbury Village.
Due to popular demand an additional screening: First broadcast in 1989, the BBC documentary Two Sides of a Street is a humorous, nostalgic glimpse into the lives of the Brackenbury Village community at the time. It was produced by John Pitman, a long-time local resident, who passed away last year. On 26 February 2019 at 7pm Two Sides of a Street will be shown at Grove Neighbourhood Centre (GNC). There will be screenings at 7pm and tickets are £10 (includes tea and cake at 4pm and glass of wine at 7pm). In addition, there will be 20% off bottled beer, house wine and food at The Andover Arms.
Tickets will be available from 17 December and they can be collected and paid for at the GNC. Sponsored by Horton and Garton, the evening promises a fascinating look back at the characters of Brackenbury Village and will raise funds to support GNC.
