Home Instead’s dedicated team now has a new base in Fulham

‘Being local is at the heart of our philosophy,’ explains Maddy Alemayehu, Director of Home Instead Chiswick, Hammersmith and Fulham. ‘We want to be accessible and responsive to the people we care for and also to play a pro-active role in their communities. That’s why we’ve opened a new office in Fulham at Hurlingham Studios.’

Until earlier this Summer, Home Instead’s team had worked from Chiswick. ‘Many of our popular free events – afternoon teas, health and nutrition workshops – happen in W4,’ says Maddy. ‘We’ve been conscious that clients living in Fulham and Hammersmith might find it hard to attend, particularly if they rely on others for help with travel.

‘Having a new home in Fulham means that we can now organise an exciting, informative programme in SW6. Also, our Care Professionals who live in the area won’t have to travel to and from Chiswick, so making better use of their time and us a more sustainable business.’

Home Instead provides bespoke personal care, including Home Help, Dementia, Respite and 24/7 Live-in Care. In an August 2023 Care Quality Commission report, the company was rated as Outstanding Overall, with the Inspector praising the “learning opportunities provided outside normal courses.”

Kris Dulnik, the company’s Training/Engagement Officer, is based at Hurlingham Studios and he will soon be joined by a Care Manager. ‘Kris has already organised Falls Prevention classes at the Hurlingham Club – we’re very grateful to them for the space,’ adds Maddy.

‘Most importantly, having a local presence means that we’ll be better able to build relationships with health care professionals for the benefit of our clients.
