‘I got chatting to Chris – his family are regulars here – and he mentioned that he specialised in “looking after” IT, graphic design and branding for local businesses,’ recalls Gercilio Rodrigues, owner of the popular Vanilla Bean Café on Dawes Road. ‘Now, three years later, Chris has created an amazing new website for me, designed menus, stylish packaging and labelling and transformed my marketing strategy.’
Chris Mollard, who runs J4G Design, is a former Home Office design and software consultant. He has the experience and technical expertise to build (and upgrade) websites that deliver maximum SEO and sales response and the creative flair to refresh the design of print promotional material.
Most importantly, he will also monitor clients’ Google Business and Google Ads profiles and ensure that brand presentation is coherent and effective across all platforms.
‘In Gercilio’s case, his previous WordPress site wasn’t tailored to his business needs,’ recalls Chris. ‘In particular, he wanted to generate more online sales. I re-designed the site, suggested new product categories and added e-commerce functionality. I now maintain it on a regular basis, as I do for many clients, solving technical niggles and ensuring everything runs smoothly.’
Recently, Chris has also introduced a fixed monthly retainer service. ‘I will be on hand to provide dedicated marketing, design and digital support, working as a trusted partner with clients to prioritise and strategise issues that have arisen or been sitting on the back-burner forever. This package costs less than hiring someone to work in-house.’
Chris’s personal approach was appreciated by Gercilio: ‘He understood what I wanted and when he made recommendations I never felt that he was dictating: it was a collaboration between us.
