‘I love coming to Dr Hala’s clinic. Not only is she a kind and gentle person, you feel completely at ease as her professionalism, knowledge and expertise is second to none. I always walk out like a new person.’ – Mandy Bissell

Winter hibernation is over and sunny days are coming. However, has the combination of cold weather and central heating turned to maximum made you feel less than fabulous? If so, a visit to Dr Hala Mahfoud will leave you glowing and walking out re-energised and body confident.

Dr Hala worked as an NHS Consultant for many years before founding her family-run clinic in 2017. She now works closely with her sons, Ali and Mo, and their vision is to bridge the gap between aesthetics, beauty and medicine in a safe, professional environment.

‘HydraFacials are one of our signature treatments: they exfoliate and hydrate the skin so that it is cleansed and fully prepared for sun exposure,’ explains Dr Hala. ‘Often people believe that their skin is dry when, in fact, it is dehydrated, and so no amount of moisturiser will deliver a lasting result. HydraFacials are the perfect solution because they work on a deep level and, even better, there’s no post-session downtime – clients can carry on with their lives straight away.

‘At this time of year, I also recommend a PRX peel as an excellent skin rejuvenating method. Gentle and painless, it stimulates and revitalises the targeted area and also, when used over a course of appointments, it is a highly effective means of combating scarring, wrinkles and stretch marks.’

Since opening the clinic, Dr Hala has consistently invested in state-of-the-art medical technology.

As a specialist in female intimate health, one of her first and most popular acquisitions is the Femi-Lift laser, which stimulates collagen, the protein responsible for skin elasticity. ’Post-birth, many ladies leak,’ she says. ‘The Femi-Lift provides non-surgical relief from urinary incontinence, alleviates vaginal dryness and enhances sexual sensation.’

In addition to laser treatments, Dr Hala is also an expert in working with Vivacy injectables: indeed, she trains doctors and nurses to use them. The technique is based on Hyaluronic acid injections which resolve issues such as vaginal dryness and discomfort and so restore elasticity, tone and sensitivity to the vulva-vaginal area.

Inspired by her patients, three years ago Dr Hala launched her own branded Skincare Collection. It featured anti-ageing products, including non-oily hydrators, boosting serums, a glycol wash, a lip plumper and a lightweight sunscreen.

‘I’m delighted to say that we will soon be introducing a new range specifically for peri and post menopausal woman,’ she smiles. ‘There will be five elements – a cleanser, moisturiser, exfoliator, serum and mask – and once testing is completed (in two months) they will be available at the clinic and on the website.’

Warm and welcoming, Dr Hala and her friendly team always take the time to get to know their patients. ‘Then, with the scope of our facilities, we can devise a bespoke approach that fits their needs. We’re proud of our work and we want to achieve the best outcome every time.’
