Hitherto, one range missing from the brothers’ portfolio has been Amtico’s market-leading brand of luxury vinyl tiles. From April, however, that omission will be remedied. ‘We’re delighted that we’ve just signed a deal to be the company’s local stockist,’ says Clay. ‘It’s actually very hard to secure an account with Amtico and the fact that they approached us, after doing their homework on our business, is particularly pleasing.‘
Amtico’s vinyl tiles are perfect for every interior style and they come in a fantastic choice of designs, colours and patterns. We are investing in two dedicated display stands and we’ll have access to the complete collection, which is not available online.’
As well as the sheer choice of classic and contemporary carpets, made-to-measure bespoke rugs, stair runners, vinyl tiles and laminate flooring, the Carpetstore’s reputation has also been built on providing a consistent, high quality fitting service.
‘Clients often call to tell us how impressed they’ve been with the on-site work. Our current teams – we have six in all – are the most experienced and skilled we’ve ever had. We have specialists in every type of flooring, including fitting the trickiest carpets such as Unnatural’s very popular man-made sisal range.
‘In addition, our fitters will take up old carpets, move large furniture, trim doors and lay plyboard and hardboard. And, of course, whether it’s advising on which carpet suits a space or suggesting that a surface needs attention before fitting, we’re always happy to make recommendations to ensure that the customer comes to the best decision.’
