‘Over time I got chatting to Chris – he and his family are regulars – and he mentioned that he worked in IT and graphic design,’ recalls Gercilio Rodrigues, owner of the Vanilla Bean Café in Fulham. ‘He offered to help if I ever had any issues, one thing lead to another and, two years later, he has built an amazing new website, designed menus, packaging and labelling and transformed our branding.’

‘Gercilio’s previous WordPress site wasn’t tailored to his business needs,’ explains Chris. ‘In particular, he wanted to generate more online sales. So, I re-built and re-designed the website – that included making the logo more adaptable and versatile and formalising and adding shades to the colour palette – and, in addition, I suggested new product categories, added e-commerce functionality and handled the SEO marketing. I do for many other clients, ensuring it is up-to-date and solving any technical niggles.’
Whatever the scope of the job, Chris always spends as much time as is necessary with every client. That approach was appreciated by Gercilio: ‘Chris understood what I wanted to achieve and when he made recommendations, I never felt that he was dictating: he was happy to take my ideas on board and refine them – it was a really enjoyable collaboration.
