Beautiful plants, delicious dishes and the new Garden Room is open!
Premium-quality plants for every size of garden: the Green Room, a fabulous oasis dedicated to houseplants; a wonderful choice of practical gardening and stylish lifestyle gifts; friendly, knowledgeable staff who are always happy to advise; and a café serving tempting healthy fare.
Now there’s one more. The recently opened Garden Room is an exciting addition to that list. Designed and curated by Brad Nash and Neil Wickes, the space showcases an eclectic range of exceptional indoor and outdoor garden-related objects, including antiques and reclaimed and contemporary items.
To source the antiques and the more unusual one-off pieces, Neil and I spent time scouring the stalls at markets,’ explains Brad. ‘Then, to complement our “finds”, we have also linked up with some excellent new suppliers and chosen the best from their latest collections. For example, we have Mediterranean-influenced terracotta and colourful ceramic items, home décor accessories and ornaments and delicate English dried flower arrangements.’

With elegant vases and pots, garden furniture, basketware and stoneware, planters, lanterns, candleholders, vintage posters, decorative glassware and mirrors, there’s something for all budgets and tastes. ‘The Garden Room really seems to have struck a chord,’ says Brad. ‘The reaction from customers has been very positive and we’re already replenishing the stock.’
Over the Summer months W6’s Café always comes into its own. With a cosy interior space under the railway arches and a large sunny outdoor area with plenty of comfortable seating, it is the perfect location for a ‘pitstop’ or to meet up with friends in a lovely environment.
Chef Ashley has devised a family-friendly breakfast, brunch and lunch menu with the emphasis on fresh, seasonal ingredients and Café Supervisor Magdalena and her team will be serving summer drinks, including Ice Teas, Blueberry-iced Matcha and smoothies. Of course, there’s always a tempting choice of cakes and pastries as well as Afternoon Cream Teas.

Dogs are always made very welcome at W6. The Café stocks Pawvale’s award-winning canine Chicken and Lamb Ice Creams and, if you visit on a Wednesday with a “best friend”, there’s a discount on the cost of a coffee.
‘There’s so much to see and enjoy here,’ says W6’s Manager Louise Alhadeff. ‘Whether you are coming to browse around the Garden Room, choose plants or just take a break at the Café, we offer something very special. We look forward to seeing you this Summer.’
