Fuller’s Brewery Shop is a treasure trove of beers and merchandise – with a 10% discount for Chiswick locals!
‘We’ve created a friendly tap room environment in which customers can enjoy a draught pint or beer tasting board, stock up on drinks – we sell all Fuller’s bottled products including Dark Star, Cornish Orchard and Meantime – or browse through our stylish merchandise,’ says Beverly Horton, the Manager of the Brewery Shop. ‘And, of course, we’re always happy to talk ale and make recommendations.’
If you didn’t know that there was a Shop, complete with tap bar and seating area, on Fuller’s riverside premises – and it’s something of a best-kept secret – it is just along from the former site of The Mawson Arms.
‘For the festive season, we have Jack Frost beer on draught and the Vintage Ale 2022 is delicious, it tastes like Christmas pudding,’ adds Beverly. ‘Our three or six-beer tasting boards have proved popular with people stopping off while on a Thames walk. My tip is to sample something that is hard to find: for example, we have HSB on draught and most pubs don’t carry it.
‘Customers can also take away a Growler (three and a half pints approx) or a barrel (72 pints – it must be ordered in advance) and we have an excellent choice of wines, ports, champagnes, proseccos and spirits for all budgets.
‘This year, we have expanded our range of branded merchandise to include new gift packs and glass and barware, hand-crafted Vintage Ale Collectors boxes, dog collars, ice buckets and Christmas baubles and we have all the favourites, such as the London Pride drinkers kit, clothing (polo and t-shirts, hats, socks) bar runners, bottle openers and tote bags.’
The Brewery Shop is open 10am-6pm (Tues-Sat) and Chiswick locals can claim a 10% discount on purchases. ‘You can combine a visit to us with a brewery tour (vouchers are available),’ says Beverly. ‘You’ll learn about Fuller’s history in W4, see how and where the “magic” happens and, of course, be able to taste and take home our fantastic beers.’
