With beautifully refurbished apartments available to rent, elegant communal areas and an on-site management team, Hamlet Gardens in Ravenscourt Park is one of West London’s most desirable locations
‘Whatever the issue – the boiler breaking down, an essential repair or simply a signature being required for a parcel – we are here to help,’ smiles Mark Shack, Residential Land’s Building Manager at Hamlet Gardens in Ravenscourt Park. ‘For example, the other night a tenant called our 24-hour emergency line because she’d lost her keys. It was 11.30pm, but we arranged for someone to come and unlock her apartment. It’s all part of the service.’
That level of conscientious care is perhaps a key reason why Residential Land is one of London’s leading specialist property companies and an award-winning professional landlord. At its major sites across the metropolis an experienced Building Manager is always on hand as a visible point of contact and to solve problems big and small. Mark has worked for Residential Land for 12 years and he assumed responsibility for Hamlet Gardens in 2015, when the business acquired its portfolio of rental properties in the striking red brick mansion blocks just off King Street.
‘Ola Palk, the Assistant Building Manager, and I are here Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm,’ he says. ‘Our aim is to make tenants’ lives run as smoothly as possible. We can be contacted by email, a WhatsApp message, a phone call or by popping into the on-site office. It’s also a key part of our role to liaise with prospective tenants; that could be bluechip corporate clients or individuals who walk in off the street. If someone wants to view a property, we’ll be happy to show them around.’
Just a stone’s throw from Ravenscourt Park itself, the Victorian mansion blocks (they were built between 1898 and 1903) are very distinctive. Mark and Ola look after eleven blocks. ‘We have 122 apartments – a mix of one, two and three bedroom – for rent,’ he explains. ‘Of those, 20 three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartments, all with ensuite facilities and separate w/c, have just become available. They are connected to Amazon Alexa and equipped with the Crestron Home Automation System through which residents can control lighting, temperature and ventilation.’
All the Hamlet Gardens blocks have been impeccably restored, with particular care paid to period features such as the red and black chequered exterior pathways and the reliefpatterned green tiling in the communal areas. The same attention to detail is evident inside the wonderfully high-ceilinged apartments.
‘From top to bottom, they have been completed to the highest standard by our expert design team,’ says Mark. ‘The wood floors and furniture are brand new, everything
is freshly painted and decorated and, of course, they have all mod cons.
‘Also, because tenants deal directly with us, we can tailor an apartment to their needs; if they prefer unfurnished or semi-furnished space, we just remove the furniture. We always try to accommodate all requests.’
Currently, all sizes of apartment are available for rent and new tenants can be assured of a dedicated service from Mark’s team. ‘We are a one-stop shop,’ he confirms. ‘We’re here to meet and greet, to get everything organised and make life simple – you name it, we’ll try to do it!’
