The Rook’s Nest: Room At The Inn

James Fitzgerald

The Rook’s Nest is offering Chiswick locals a 15% discount on its superb B&B accommodation

A coaching inn was first recorded on the site of the Rook’s Nest in 1710. So it’s most appropriate that nothing reflects the transformation of the business (it was formerly Flynn’s Pub & Townhouse) more than its excellent, highly praised accommodation.

James Fitzgerald has masterminded that re-invention process. ‘We’re a close-knit team and we’ve all worked really hard to create a warm, family-friendly atmosphere.

‘We opened our boutique-style rooms (they have free WiFi and tea and coffee-making facilities) four years ago and they’ve become very popular. We have 11 in all: there are two suites with super king-size beds and a living area, and the others are doubles or twins, depending on what best suits the guest.’

Current online ratings confirm that James has a winning formula – and many happy clients worldwide. ‘We have a 4.5 out of 5 rating on TripAdvisor, 9.5 out of 10 on booking.com and a 100% recommendation on Expedia. We’re proud of that positive feedback and determined to maintain those standards.’

Judging from customer comments, the generous breakfasts are much appreciated – as James says, ‘no one ever goes away hungry’ – as is the attention to detail. If you have friends or family visiting this summer and need somewhere convenient to put them up, James is offering Chiswick residents a special offer: ‘Anyone with a W4 postcode who books directly with us will receive a 15% discount on the usual rate. We look forward to welcoming your guests.’

About Editor

Online editor at Keep Things Local

KEEP THINGS LOCAL IS A MEDIA BUSINESS WITH A UNIQUE LOCAL FOCUS

The company publishes four flagship magazines (Chelsea Locals, Chiswick Locals, Richmond Locals and Hammersmith Locals) with more launches planned in London and across the UK. The prime focus of each of these quarterly magazines is to showcase and support the independent traders and small businesses who do so much to give these areas their individual retail character and community spirit. This is achieved through dedicated advertorials which are written, designed and photographed by an experienced team lead by Neil McKelvie.

In every issue, these advertorials are complemented by feature articles which turn the spotlight on different aspects of neighbourhood life and interviews with notable local figures. In addition to appearing in the magazines, every advertorial is also published in the Keep Things Local newsletters, on the website and on social media. Get in touch to be featured in our Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring issues.
