Sadly, it will soon be time to fire up the heating and, inevitably, some householders will find issues caused by the summer months’ lack of use. ‘Boiler fault codes, blockages, sludge build-up in radiators and seized valves and pumps are common problems,’ says John Kearney, co-owner with Ricky Axten of local plumbing, heating and air-conditioning experts, Reliant LDN.
‘Equally, if you had any problems last winter, it’s far better to have them investigated now before the weather turns cold.’ Since the company was founded in 2019, Reliant LDN’s distinctive vans have become a familiar sight out and about on the streets of W4. ‘A powerflush requires the use of a specialised machine that pumps a chemical through the radiators, pipes and boiler at high pressure,’ explains Ricky. ‘This process flushes out any debris that may have accumulated, so allowing the system to heat up much faster and operate with maximum efficiency.’
Both John and Ricky are accredited with leading manufacturers such as Vaillant and Worcester Bosch and they take pride in providing prompt, courteous customer care and the best quality workmanship. ‘We offer a call-out service and give a free quotation on a per job basis before work commences,’ says John. ‘And, most importantly, you can always trust us to give straightforward advice.’
