Vaults that deliver affordability, convenience and peace of mind
‘Many friends of mine have reached the point in life where they are downsizing and now need to store valuables,’ reflects Christopher Barrow, Chief Executive of Metropolitan Safe Deposits. ‘Of course, our vaults are the ideal solution. Metropolitan provides 12 sizes: small boxes (from £115 p.a) for jewellery, keepsakes, watches, coins and crypto keys; medium-sized boxes (from £420 p.a) for family heirlooms, legal documents, laptops and gold bars; and large boxes (from £970 p.a) for collections of art and antiques. Every box comes with £10,000 insurance and there are no extra access charges.
For a new client, the first step is to order a box online. ‘There’s no commitment,’ stresses Christopher. ‘That’s simply how we arrange appointments. We then fix a convenient time to come in for a meeting: one of our friendly, professional team will explain exactly how we operate and answer questions (information is also available on the website).’
Once the size of the box is chosen, the necessary original documents supplied and rigorous security procedures completed, customers are given an access card with a biometric fingerprint and two unique keys for a physical lock. All the boxes are individually alarmed and only a given number can be open at one time.
‘It’s perfectly possible for someone to bring in their valuable items and, having concluded the reservation process, begin using their safe deposit box straight away,’ explains Christopher. ‘Customers can then come and go as they wish in the knowledge that their possessions are protected by proven multi-layered surveillance and security systems.’
