Seven years ago Dorota Zelazny booked a HYPOXI body-shaping course – and it proved a life-changing moment. ‘I was so amazed by the results that I decided there and then to become a HYPOXI partner,’ she recalls. ‘I took all the overtime I could from my job as an officer at Wormwood Scrubs to save up to invest in the technology.’
Having rapidly attracted a loyal clientele, in 2018 Dorota moved to a dedicated studio on the High Road with enough space to expand the business and provide other health and beauty therapies. Dorota is the HYPOXI expert. Suitable for all fitness levels, the concept is founded on the principle that fat and cellulite are best eliminated when there is a strong blood flow in ‘problem’ body areas, such as the stomach, hip, buttocks and thighs.
‘HYPOXI targets those “lumps and bumps” by using high and low pressure to improve the circulation,’ explains Dorota. ‘Each session lasts an hour; the first part is a lymphatic massage, which enhances skin tone and reduces cellulite, and that’s followed by gentle exercise on a bike or treadmill in a pressure chamber. This process uses the blood to transport fatty acids to the muscles, where they are burned more effectively. I recommend three sessions a week for a month and, with that commitment, the average weight loss is a dress size in 4-6 weeks.’
The newest addition to the range of treatments at the Studio is NanoTech therapy. ‘It’s an exciting new method of restoring and renewing bthe body’s key natural ingredients, so combating visible signs of ageing and alleviating joint and tendon pain,’ says Dorota. ‘Hyaluronic acid and mineral salts are reduced to nanoparticles which are then infused through the skin, penetrating up to 4cm to the cellular layer. It only takes 10-20 minutes and is non-invasive and completely painless.’
