Professional eye-care, old-fashioned customer service and a superb selection of stylish frames
It has been two months since the Aristone Optical team moved back into their smartly refurbished premises on North End Road, and at the same time introduced Aristone’s own signature brand (ao) of bespoke acetate frames – all have names with a local Fulham connection.
For owner Ritesh, the ao collection was an exciting personal project. ‘Having spent so many years working with frames every day, I thought why not try designing them! I’m delighted to say that the reaction has been incredibly positive. In fact, we have already had to re-order stock and, in response to customer requests, I’ve also added stainless steel and titanium frames to the range. It was a long process from drawing board to being on display, but it’s been worthwhile.’
So too have been the renovation works. The “new” Aristone is modern, open-plan and with sufficient space to accommodate the latest equipment: for example, Ritesh has invested in a state-of-the-art machine that scans multiple eye layers and enables the diagnosis of issues 10-15 years in advance.
Ritesh recently celebrated 16 years running the business, which itself has been a constant in Fulham life for over seven decades. He has built on Aristone’s family-friendly heritage by offering the latest lens technology with an extensive choice of frames, including designer ranges (Tom Ford, Ray-Ban, Lindberg, Ralph Lauren and Emporio Armani) and a huge variety of prescription lenses.
Most importantly, Ritesh has retained the on-site workshop. ‘It means that we can provide a fast, efficient service, with most glasses made within a week and a same-day turnaround for lens cutting and urgent repairs,’ he explains.
‘My business philosophy is simple: if someone has a good experience, they will recommend us to others. We look forward to welcoming customers old and new – we will have a style and shape of frame for every taste and budget.’
