What does Wellfinity offer?
Wellness and wellbeing incentives to improve health and awareness for locals around London. We’re based in Chiswick and work with health professionals from West London. Connecting the public with non invasive body composition analysis, with nutritionists, personal trainers to health coaches. Our latest projects are with companies looking to improve their wellbeing in particular their staff with the new ways of working from home and being healthy and safe given the current climate.
When and why did you start Wellfinity?
August 2017. Wellness incentives were always geared towards corporates. I wanted to offer this to the general public. We then teamed up with local charities and raised funds for them through the scans, and the Wellness events. Health and wellness is a huge passion of mine, and at Wellfinity, we believe that everyone deserves to be healthy. So we find ways to help them do just that!
Q. What is it that Wellfinity is specifically doing to improve the community?
We’ve been partnering with a number of local individuals and companies within London, from wellbeing events to black-tie charity galas we’ve organised, the majority of participants are professionals and business owners right here in our community. We’ve organised charity boxing events to fundraise with the Clayton Hotels and Virgin Active in Chiswick for the Great Ormond Street Hospital. We’re also partnering with Eden Fitness and Marks & Spencers to run our state-of-the-art Body Composition scans – with all donations going to charity. We’ve worked with the Charing Cross Hospital nurses as well to fundraise thousands for Macmillan Cancer Research. We’re all about giving back.
Q. Other than bringing in doggy therapy into the offices to make employees happy, what do you do for companies that aren’t really dog-friendly? Anything to induce endorphins for them?
At Wellfinity, our mission is to help enrich people’s lives and simply make them fall in love with what they do. Through Wellfinity Wellbeing, we explore kindness initiatives, from planting a desk plant for a work colleague with a message of appreciation all the way up to providing charity fundraising events to give people a chance to experience the joy of giving back. Over the last year, we’ve teamed up with London Cryo, providing great experiences like cryofacials, Theragun massages, and neck / shoulder massages with Optimal Spine.
For those working from home now, we’ve partnered with hundreds of health experts, from dietitians to physiotherapists and physicians, providing webinars that cover burning topics such as nutrition to help improve sleep, Nootropics and natural foods to improve focus, meditation, mindfulness, beating burnout, and even gratitude activities. The best part is that whatever issues people bring up in the surveys, we have access to the professionals who can deliver the solutions they need.

Q. What’s the latest project Wellfinity is working on?
Over the first lockdown, busy professionals who always felt like they had a story to tell finally got a chance to sit down and write. Mental health and wellbeing can be quite challenging, and we know that getting the words inside your head onto the page can be incredibly healing – but many have trouble figuring out how. Walker Kornfeld, our Wellfinity Scribe co-founder, has coached, supported and assisted a number of people on their way to becoming authors. And the most interesting part? Many projects can be completed in as little as 10 weeks!

What challenges have you overcome?
Saying no to corporate partners that aren’t in line with our business – that could’ve injected a lot more funds into the projects. We’ve managed to find ways to work more effectively through partnerships with smaller and local companies that also believe in what we do.
Who are your most inspirational business leaders?
Elon Musk owner of Tesla. Going green and electric – using the efficiency of the existing renewable sources of power will help the planet for the better of us all.
What is the most valuable advice you have received?
Some will, some won’t, just dust yourself off and move on. Keep making those moves and rejection is part of learning. If you believe in what you do, everything will be a lesson.
What advice can you share with aspiring startups?
Try and find a solution to a problem that somebody has. Do it because you want to help them. Once you’ve answered their problems. Scale. Find another ten people like them to help. Then a hundred and so on. One step at a time, and learn from each mistake.
Why should we support local businesses and traders?
Your support will help pay for little Johnny’s school fees, it puts food on the table for a small business and it helps the borough grow. It’s really that simple. Let’s work with local businesses.
What is special about your local community?
Chiswick is extremely supportive of local fundraising and charitable causes. Whenever we’ve run campaigns to create awareness for homelessness, or feeding the hungry, to supporting the local welfare, Chiswick folk have always supported, so it’s the support.
What is your favourite local food and drink venue?
The Strand Café and Restaurant – just by Kew Bridge is definitely one of the favourites!
What is your favourite local fitness business?
Eden Fitness, in Ealing. Run by a family, where staff and members alike have been there for up to 12 years!!!
What is your favourite local health and beauty business?
Optimal Spine, more of a health clinic, they do great spinal assessments, posture and massages.
What is your favourite local restaurant?
Piano Restaurant. It’s an Iranian restaurant on Chiswick High Road, delicious food, very affordable, and they also do a lot to support the local community.
